Laura Moser Pastry and Cake Design is owned and solely operated by Laura Moser. She attends numerous seminars and courses in New York each year, taught by some of the most famous names in the cake decorating business. She brings back knowledge and techniques that she incorporates into each and every cake, cupcake or treat that she designs, providing her customers with professionally built and beautiful pieces.
The creations we offer are not in any way comparable to products offered by a typical grocery store or a home baker at any level. We have an extensive collection of recipes that have been collected over the years, which we use in all of our creations, and the attention to detail is strictly monitored by Laura herself. All of our treats are made with the finest ingredients, and the final product has always started from scratch.
About the designer
Since she was a child, Laura Moser has had a special feeling for baking that was inspired by helping her grandmother in the kitchen. Now, more than 20 years later, Laura is a Pastry and Cake designer and founder of Laura Moser Pastry and Cake Design.
Laura grew up in Bogotá, Colombia. After high school graduation, she studied business administration, while managing her own catering business. Once she finished her career, she enrolled in the Culinary Institute of America, in Hyde Park, NY, to fulfill her dream: become a chef! She worked part time at a Relais & Châteaux where she discovered her passion for desserts. After graduating, she worked as pastry assistant for Abigail Kirsch in New York, where she learned from the best.
In 2004, she moved to Geneva, Switzerland, where she worked for Louis Vuitton for almost five years. After this amazing experience with an important exposure, she went back to her roots: she enrolled in classes with cake designer Elisa Strauss, did a short internship with Colette Peters and went back to the Culinary Institute of America to obtain additional expertise. These experiences changed her vision for cakes and baked goods.
Her main passion is designing cakes but what is outstanding about it all is that not only are her cakes stunning to look at, but they taste great too!
Laura is married and lives in Geneva, where she shares her time between her own cake and pastry design business and teaching cooking classes at a local atelier.
